TSC Real Estate is further expanding its in-house strategic sustainability expertise with the appointment of Alex Ubl to the newly created position of ESG & Sustainability Advisor.

In this function he is responsible for advising investors and business partners in the framework of investment strategy and regulatory topics, as well as on acquisition and management topics, on the development of their ESG strategies, and on analysis and operational implementation. Alex Ubl is also responsible for the further development and implementation of the ESG strategy of TSC Real Estate at corporate level. He will report directly to the senior management in both areas.
In the past two years TSC Real Estate has already conducted extensive analyses and prepared a corresponding CRREM pathway benchmarking reporting system for the managed portfolio of existing properties, as well as identifying and implementing measures to optimise energy efficiency and CO2-neutrality. As ESG & Sustainability Advisor Alex Ubl will now expand the service catalogue of TSC Real Estate to include ESG-specific services and also assist with the implementation of a corresponding ESG reporting system across the investment and management process so as to ensure compliance with the respective taxonomy-related requirements of the individual investment vehicles. In addition to the independent management of projects, Ubl will also support his colleagues and the teams at TSC Real Estate in their consulting for investors and clients. Furthermore, he will function as the central TSC Real Estate port of call for external service providers such as benchmarking institutions and energy consulting companies.

Alex Ubl has an MBA in the field of renewable energies, is a CFA charterholder, and has 23 years of professional experience. After completing an apprenticeship as an insurance broker his career to date has seen him work for leading financial services providers, including ERGO (Client Manager), Citi (Private Wealth Management), Deutsche Bank (Deal Origination) and HSBC (Business Development). Between 2020 and 2022 he worked at Sustainable Development Capital LLP, where he was particularly active in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency. Moreover, he worked in a freelance capacity for several years in the fields of M&A, venture, private equity and business development.
